    In the October sample the S-Bahn left at 10:44 and reached München Ost at 11:15 for the Railjet (ÖBB, checked 28 Sep 2026). The Lufthansa Express Bus to Munich Hbf is the other feeder, about 45 minutes (Lufthansa Express Bus, checked 27 Sep 2026). FlixBus leaves from Terminal 2, bus stops 21 and 22, straight to Chiusa (FlixBus, checked 28 Sep 2026).

    Over the Brenner.

    The 11:33 Railjet from München Ost reached the Brenner at 14:05; a regional train from there reached Chiusa at 15:32 (Trenitalia, checked 28 Sep 2026). FlixBus from the airport at 12:10 reached Chiusa at 16:36.

    Chiusa to Ortisei by bus.

    Bus 351 runs from Chiusa station to Ortisei in 44 minutes; the 15:40 reached Ortisei at 16:24 (südtirolmobil, checked 28 Sep 2026). Timetables end on 12 December 2026 and the winter timetable is not published yet.

Is there a direct train from Munich to Ortisei?

No. Railjets run direct to Bolzano and Bressanone, and the last leg into Val Gardena is by bus (südtirolmobil, checked 28 Sep 2026).

What is the last connection after landing?

On Saturday 17 October 2026, the 16:44 S-Bahn or the 16:25 FlixBus reached Ortisei at 23:23 using the Saturday-only Nightliner (Val Gardena Tourism, checked 28 Sep 2026). From a 21:00 start nothing arrives the same night.

Does the Guest Pass make the journey free?

No. It can cover the local bus once you hold it, but not long-distance trains such as Eurocity or Railjet, and not every property supplies it (Val Gardena Tourism, checked 27 Sep 2026).

Can I bring skis?

On the Lufthansa Express Bus, skis are €7 per item (Lufthansa Express Bus, checked 27 Sep 2026). South Tyrol buses and trains carry skis free when there is space (südtirolmobil, checked 28 Sep 2026).

Will the Brenner road works delay me?
