How we compare
Every number on this site comes from a named source with the date it was checked. This page explains what those numbers are, and what they are not.
The unit of comparison
One arrival airport, one specific destination and one way of getting there, for a stated direction and party. A region such as the Dolomites is not a destination: Ortisei and Cortina are compared separately. Arriving at a station or a town stop is not arriving at your accommodation, so the final leg is always listed separately.
Kinds of evidence
- Published minimum
- The shortest time an operator’s route page states, for example a coach from the airport. It is not a timetable and does not include waiting.
- Scheduled
- Times from an operator’s dated timetable, with its validity period shown.
- Estimate
- An approximate time from a tourism board, shown with “about”. It is not a dated itinerary.
- Published leg
- One piece of a journey, such as an airport bus, shown on its own when the complete journey has not been matched on one date.
Operator “from” fares are not used as prices for your group. When two pages from the same operator disagree, neither figure is used.
Cost, time and ease stay separate
There is no combined score. Cost, travel time and ease of travel are shown side by side because different trips weigh them differently.
A group cost is the whole-party flight cost, plus extra baggage charges, plus ground transport for the same trip basis, plus any mandatory costs. Public-transport fares use each traveller’s real fare category; a vehicle quote is per vehicle and needs enough capacity for the people and luggage. An unknown cost is shown as unknown, never as zero, and an incomplete total is not compared.
What we never claim
- A cheapest airport, unless the options have matching endpoints, currency, trip basis and party, dated fares with their conditions, and every leg including the final approach. No page currently meets that bar, so none declares a cheapest option.
- That a route summary or tourism estimate is a door-to-door time.
- That a single fare can be found by halving a return fare.
- Instant prices or bookings through TransferBnB. Transfer links are for requesting offers.
Checks and review dates
Each page shows the date its sources were checked. Access dates do not extend a service’s validity: timetables that end on 12 December 2026 are not used for January 2027. Seasonal timetable changes, operators’ page changes and conflicting sources are reasons to recheck. Changes to the site are listed in the changelog.
The data
The route records behind these pages, with their sources and check dates, are published as routes.json. A null fare means unknown, not free.
